The parameters of the height and diameter of the head mainly depend on its inner diameter and straight edge height. According to national standards, the inner diameter range of the head is usually 15-900mm, corresponding to a straight edge height between 25-40mm. Specifically:
The head with an inner diameter of 1200mm or 1300mm has a straight edge height of 25mm.
The head with an inner diameter exceeding 2000mm has a straight edge height of 40mm.
The head with an inner diameter between 15-2000mm has a straight edge height of 25mm.
In addition, the national standard also specifies elliptical heads with outer diameters of 273mm, 219mm, and 159mm, which comply with the GB/T25198-2010 standard.
In practical applications, the size design of the head needs to be calculated based on specific conditions such as pressure, temperature, and medium. For example, if the inner diameter of the container is 4000mm, the calculated pressure is 0.4MPa, the design temperature is 50 ℃, a standard elliptical head is selected, and the material is 16MnR. Through a complex calculation process, the calculated thickness, design thickness, and nominal thickness of the elliptical head can be determined to ensure the safe operation of the equipment under given conditions.
