Types of ASME Head
Spherical Head: Spherical head is made by connecting two hemispherical heads with welding or bolts, the shape is similar to a ball. Spherical heads are suitable for sealing of high pressure vessels, such as storage tanks, reactors, etc.
Hemispherical Head: Hemispherical head is made of a hemispherical material, which is suitable for sealing of storage tanks, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and other equipment.
Flat Head: Flat head is a head made of round material cut into flat shape, which is suitable for sealing of low pressure vessels.
Elliptical Head: The shape of elliptical head is similar to an ellipse, which is applicable to the sealing of storage tanks, pressure vessels and other equipment in petroleum and chemical industries.
Torispherical Head: A torispherical head is a combination of a dished head and a knuckle radius. It has a shallow spherical shape with a transition zone called the knuckle. This type of head is widely used in many industries due to its versatility and favorable mechanical properties.
Dished Head: A dished head has a convex shape, with a portion of a sphere or an ellipsoid. This type of head provides strength and rigidity while distributing pressure more evenly. It is commonly used in high-pressure vessels, such as pressure vessels, boilers, and tanks.
Conical Head: The shape of conical head is similar to a cone, which is applicable to the sealing of storage and conveying equipment of powder materials.
Convex Head: The shape of convex head is similar to a sphere, but flatter, which is suitable for sealing of high pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other equipment.

Application of ASME Head
