A234 used by Dingjin to form end caps is an American standard material that serves as the standard for medium- and high-temperature forged carbon steel and alloy steel pipe fittings. The A234 standard includes grades such as WPB, WP5, WP9, WP11, WP12, WP22, and WP91 for carbon and alloy steels.

Generally, the pipe caps supplied by Dalian Dingjin are used for welding onto the end of a pipe or for fitting over the external threads at the end of a pipe to block it. Pipe caps are designed to seal off pipes, serving the same purpose as pipe plugs. They are similar in form and function to blind flanges, but the key difference is that blind flanges can be removed, whereas pipe caps are welded onto the pipe and cannot be detached. Pipe caps come in various designs, including domed caps, conical shells, reducers, flat covers, and tapered ends.

Pipe caps include hemispherical pipe caps, elliptical pipe caps, disc-shaped pipe caps, and spherical crown pipe caps. From a stress perspective, convex pipe caps rank as follows: hemispherical pipe cap > elliptical pipe cap > disc-shaped pipe cap > spherical crown pipe cap. However, from the standpoint of manufacturing difficulty, the order is hemispherical pipe cap, elliptical pipe cap, disc-shaped pipe cap, and spherical crown pipe cap, with decreasing difficulty. When using A234 carbon steel pipe caps, it is important to choose the appropriate shape and size to ensure compatibility with the pipe. Installation and use should strictly adhere to relevant standards and regulations. After use, timely cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep are necessary to prevent system failure or leakage. Lastly, it is important to note that pipeline systems involving carbon steel pipe caps are highly demanding and must be designed, constructed, and maintained by engineers or technicians to ensure proper operation and stability.
