Brief Introduction

 

 

A 2:1 elliptical tank head is fabricated by Dalian Dingjin to have a specific shape instead of a particular crown or knuckle radius. The crown radius is approximately 90% of the inner diameter, and the knuckle radius is approximately 17% of the inner diameter. Also, 2:1 elliptical flanged and dished heads are ASME compliant.

Dingjin Inspection Method

 

 

Dingjin will adopt template to check the inside shape of dished head after complete forming with below requests for your reference.

1-Templates for checking must be done before start forming the dish ends.
2-Thickness of template should be greater 5mm to enough strong for inspection and minimize deformation and distortion.

3-A steel template should cut by CNC machine to make sure the precisely arc length meet the design. The double verification the template must be manually verified this arc by drawn step by step length.

Test Certificates

 

 

 

Dingjin will provide test certificates (in English and Chinese language) conforming to EN10204 Type 3.2 covering following details:

1-Inspection to be done as per approved ITP/ Drawing/ Code requirements.

2-Heat and plate number could be traceable.

3-Chemical composition of heat and product analysis.

4-Mechanical properties viz.Tensile, Yield, Elongation.

5-Ultrasonic test result (as per SA435 for SS and SA578 Level B for CS).

6-Normalizing/Hot rolled/Solution treatment.

7-Impact test (If required).

8-MTC of plates.
