Introduction to Stainless Steel
Dalian Dingjin Company can supply ASTM A403 stainless steel end caps, also known as SS pipe end caps. ASTM A403 is the material standard for butt-weld pipe caps, with commonly used stainless steel grades including WP304, WPB316, WPB904L and WPB321. Dingjin has studied this standard and shared some key points for your reference if applicable for your projects.

Features of Dingjin's End Caps
Welded stainless steel pipe end caps fabricated by Dingjin come in numerous shapes, primarily including domed, conical, tapered sections, flat covers, and reduced ends. Among these, domed pipe caps further include half-spherical, elliptical, dish-shaped, and spherical cap types. This diverse range of shapes can meet the needs of different piping systems, offering multiple options to suit various operating conditions.
Welded pipe caps are fixed at the ends of steel pipes through welding, ensuring a strong connection between the cap and the pipe. During the welding process, Dingjin advise selecting the appropriate welding methods and materials, typically based on specific operating conditions, to ensure weld quality.
One of the main functions of a butt-weld cap is to seal the pipeline and prevent leakage of the medium. Therefore, its sealing performance is crucial and primarily depends on factors such as material, shape, size, and welding quality. The ones made at Dingjin could ensure the safe operation of the pipeline system.
Stainless steel materials inherently possess excellent corrosion resistance, maintaining their performance stability even in harsh environments. The raw material which Dingjin purchases were produced by famous mills in local, such as TISCO, is one of the key points to ensure the good performance of stainless steel pipe caps.

Fabrication and Inspection at Dingjin
Dingjin's production process for butt-weld pipe caps involves multiple steps, including raw material preparation, stamping, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment, and quality inspection. Each step must be carried out strictly according to relevant standards specified in PO and process requirements to ensure the quality and performance of the end cap. During manufacturing, rigorous testing and control are also required to ensure the dimensions, surface quality, and weld quality meet the specifications.
