Definition & Structure
Pressure vessel hemispherical dished ends fabricated by Dalian Dingjin are dome-shaped closures resembling half a sphere, with a radius equal to the diameter of the pressure vessel. Hemispherical heads are commonly used to seal the top or bottom of pressure vessels. Thanks to their shape, hemispherical heads distribute stress evenly under internal pressure, which avoids stress concentration, allows them to withstand higher internal pressure, and enhances the lifespan and safety of pressure vessels. This is why hemispherical heads are suitable for manufacturing high-pressure vessels.

Character
In addition to its uniform stress distribution, the pressure vessel hemispherical dished end also offers excellent sealing performance. It is welded to the cylindrical body, ensuring a reliable seal and preventing medium leakage. The compact shape of the hemispherical head also occupies less space, helping to reduce the overall size and weight of the pressure vessel.
Manufacturing Process
Material Preparation:
Dalian Dingjin select stainless steel, carbon steel, or other alloy steels that meet design requirements, and carry out necessary pre-treatment.

Forming:
Dalian Dingjin shape the selected plate into a hemispherical head using methods such as stamping or spinning. For large-diameter heads, segmental manufacturing may be required-dividing the hemispherical head into several sections for individual forming, followed by assembly and welding.

Welding:
When welding the hemispherical head to the cylindrical shell or other components, the welding process should be carried out strictly according to the WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), with proper control of welding parameters and quality to ensure the strength and sealing of the weld joints.

Inspection and Testing:
Conduct visual inspection, dimensional measurement, pressure testing, and other necessary checks on the completed pressure vessel dished end to ensure that the hemispherical head meets all design and quality requirements.
